Brandy Bryan – Director/Coach

2007 – Current Head coach NRG volleyball
Brandy is the director of NRG Volleyball. He is IMPACT certified and looking to get his CAP 1 certification. He has been coaching juniors for the last 5 years. Brandy loves the competition of coaching the sport and drives to get the very best from each athlete that plays for NRG Volleyball.
Christina Gann – Coach
This is Christina’s 3rd year with NRG. She was the coach that helped get us started. Christina is currently the Midlothian Freshman coach and has many years experience coaching volleyball. She is a highly respected coach by both the athletes that play for her and their parents. Christina is great asset to our coaching staff and our club.
Paul Wisden – Coach
This is Paul’s 2nd year with NRG. Paul is the head volleyball coach for Cedar Valley College. Paul coached our first 16s team in 2011/2012 and had tremendous success. He is a very valuable part of the NRG team and we are excited to have him.

Paul has three children. He holds two Master degrees in Education and Sports Science. He is also IMPACT certified under USA Volleyball. Quote: “Do not focus on winning or losing, focus on playing your best and playing as a team. Then winning will take care of itself.”
Robert “Buddy” Briggs – Coach
Born: Dallas, TX. He has lived in Ellis County his entire life. Currently residing in Waxahachie, TX since 1999. Married: Happily married to Paula Briggs for 21 years. Three children: Jeff, married, graduated from SFA. Jordan, engaged, graduated from, and currently coaching at SAGU. Brittany, currently playing volleyball at SAGU.
Robert “Buddy” Briggs began playing volleyball at the age of 15 in local city leagues. In 1988, under head coach, Debbie Yoder, he played at Cedar Valley College. At this time, he learned the basics of volleyball. This was the first year Cedar Valley College fielded a coed club volleyball team that competed with neighboring community colleges. Buddy then played several years of competitive men’s USVBA (now USA Volleyball) indoor club volleyball, as a setter and right side.
Buddy is Impact Certified, a USA CAP level I coach. He began coaching in the late 90′s in local city leagues. He has coached select volleyball teams at the 15U, 16U, 17U and 18U levels. His last 18U team produced 5 players that continued their careers at the college level. Buddy learned the more advanced principles and intricacies of the game of volleyball through the Gold Medal Squared coaching clinics. Gold Medal Squared founding members and staff include: Dr. Carl McGown, Doug Beal, Marv Dunphy, Ron Larson, Chris McGown and Jim McLaughlin. These world-class coaches have had a huge impact on his current coaching philosophies, practice methods and decision-making processes.
Rita Wilson – Coach
This is Rita’s first season with NRG. She has been coaching girls volleyball for many years. She is a former Jr High volleyball coach in Duncanville and has been coaching girls at the local YMCA as they begin their volleyball careers. Rita understands how the game is played and is very good at transfering that knowledge to her players. Her love and knowledge of the game is a great asset for our coaching staff.
Katherine Miller – Coach
This is Kat’s 2nd season with NRG. She currently plays outside hitter for Cedar Valley College. Kat has helped with our developmental program and was an assistant coach for one of our 16s teams last season. Kat has a great attitude and works well with girls from all age groups. All of Kat’s players enjoy her as a coach.
Sophia Cansigno – Coach
This is Sophia’s first season with NRG. She currently playes libero for Cedar Valley College. Sophia has been coaching our developmental program and has shown to be a very reliable coach. She works very well with our younger girls and she has a wonderful personality.
Cameron Hartson – Coach
This is Cameron’s first season with NRG. She is currently playing at DBU as their libero. In 2011 she was selected on the NCCAA all regional team and helped lead her team to the National tournament. She has coached 1 year as an assistant at ACE. Cameron has a winning attitude and is a great addition to the NRG coaching staff!
Taylor Vanhove - Coach
This is Taylor’s 2nd season with NRG. She coached our 13s team last season and proved to be a very effective coach. Taylor played setter for SFA and she has alot of knowledge on how the game should be played. She has been part of our developmental program as well and has been instrumental in teaching the girls proper techniques to enable them to improve their game.
